We will send you a payment link and, once payment has been received, provide you with the template together with practical guidance to help you complete and use the document.

If you require legal advice or would like the template tailored to your business or circumstances, please let us know. We can provide a separate scope and fee for this work.

Where a template is marked or described as available on request, Pixel Legal will prepare the relevant standard template following your order. This allows us to continue developing templates based on what Australian businesses actually need rather than maintaining a large library of rarely used documents.

Pixel Legal's templates are general precedent documents intended to provide a starting point for Australian businesses. Purchasing a template does not constitute legal advice. The template has not been prepared having regard to your particular business, circumstances, objectives, industry, products, services, customers, risks or legal requirements. Pixel Legal does not assess whether a template is suitable for you before you purchase it. You are responsible for determining whether the template is appropriate for your circumstances and for completing and implementing it correctly.

No legal advice or solicitor-client retainer

Purchasing a template does not engage Pixel Legal to provide legal services and does not, by itself, create a solicitor-client relationship or legal retainer between you and Pixel Legal. Any explanations, instructions, guidance notes or examples supplied with a template are general information only and are not legal advice. If you require legal advice, you must separately engage Pixel Legal or another appropriately qualified lawyer.

Templates are not customised

Unless expressly stated otherwise, the template:

• has not been reviewed or customised for your particular business;

• may contain optional provisions that are not relevant to you;

• may not contain provisions that your particular business requires;

• may require you to insert information, select between options or remove provisions before using it;

• may not be appropriate for regulated industries, complex transactions, unusual business models or businesses operating outside Australia; and

Australian templates

Unless expressly stated otherwise, our templates are prepared primarily for Australian businesses and Australian law. They are not intended to address all laws that may apply where you operate, provide goods or services, process information or have customers outside Australia. You should obtain appropriate advice if your business operates internationally or is subject to overseas laws.

Laws and circumstances change

Laws, regulatory guidance and industry practices change over time. A template reflects the law and our standard drafting approach at the time it is supplied. Pixel Legal does not undertake to update a template after purchase unless expressly stated as part of the product. You should consider obtaining legal advice if there has been a material change in law or your business circumstances since you purchased the template.

No guarantee of outcome

Pixel Legal does not guarantee that using a template will prevent disputes, claims, regulatory action or losses, or that every provision will be enforceable in every circumstance. The effectiveness of a legal document can depend on the particular facts, the way it is implemented, applicable legislation and the conduct of the parties.

Editing the template

You may edit the template for your own business use. However, changes to legal provisions can materially alter the operation of the document. Pixel Legal is not responsible for amendments made by you or another person after the template is supplied. If you require assistance modifying substantive legal provisions, you should obtain legal advice.

Third-party use

Your purchase is for use by the purchasing business only. Unless expressly permitted by the applicable licence, templates must not be resold, redistributed, sublicensed, published as templates, made available through a template library or supplied to third parties for their independent use.

Digital products and refunds

Because templates are digital products, change-of-mind refunds may not be available once the template has been supplied or accessed. Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies any rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded, including any applicable rights under the Australian Consumer Law.
